Birth
'There's so much to see,
So much to do,
So much adventure
Waiting for you!'
Tiny feet, that toothless grin and that sparkle in the eye.
Babies want to be respected from the time they are born .
Ever wondered why there are so many suicides,so many learning disorders , young children committing suicides? It could well be to do with the way you were born and the initial few years, months or even minutes of your life outside the mother's womb.
A child's growth should start right from the start - in the womb.Babies have a working mind right from the time they are in the womb. They have a sense of their environment, they have a spirit , a soul even before they take their first breath of air outside the womb.
Babies may not remember what happens to their life in the first 3 years but somewhere everything that happens in those 3 years gets imprinted on their minds and determines their behaviour.
Motherhood is a gift and no less than a miracle. When the baby is in contact with the mother's skin something happens to their nervous system that helps them respond better.
How else would you explain that a baby needs to be 6-10 inches away to focus with his eyes and it is no surprise that this distance is exactly at the point of nurturing !
Babies are little beings with feelings , sensations and emotions. A baby can feel pain too , can sense tension , be sad and happy depending on the environment that is given to them by their parents.
I hope we can be good parents who listen ,respect and love their child from the time of birth.
No wonder they refer to a baby as a bundle of joy !
So much to do,
So much adventure
Waiting for you!'

Prayers for Japan.
I am saddenned by what is going on over there.
Nothing can justify a loved one's death.
Nuclear disaster is that part of a natural disaster? I know that nuclear energy plays a big role in today's world but is anything worth human lives?
Old people dying and children who may live for the rest of their lives in the fear that they may have cancer!
What good is all this development?
We continue to live lives selfishly without a care in the world that there are still many who don't have clean water to drink, who don't have toilets to use ,who don't have electricity...
We also play a role in such disasters.
May good sense prevail.
Amen.

In love with GGM
I have just about read half the book and all I can say is this is yet another masterpiece by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
He writes with such passion , such control and with so much truth that it is hard to not become one of his characters in the book.
Love is strange. I wonder where and how life would be without that hope ;no matter how adolescent or silly it may sound? Is it possible to not only swear love forever but to follow it throughout your life, to live a life based on such a committment?
How I wish this was true...
This is what 'Love in the Time of Cholera', is all about. Florentino Ariza waits 51 years,9 months and 4 days for his sweetheart,Fermina Daza!
GGM writes like a poet ...
'It was the year they fell into devastating love. Neither one could do anything except think about the other, dream about the other, and wait for letters with the same impatience they felt when they answered them. Never in that delirious spring, or in the following year, did they have the opportunity to speak to each other.'
Beautiful to read such passages in the book .
In love with whatever I have read so far.
Cheers to love that never stops , that never changes , that matures and grows with time , that helps you rediscover yourself all over again ....
I have another hundred pages to go and I can barely wait ...
Adios.
'Love is so short...forgetting is so long' - Pablo Neruda .

Void
I see the world around me.
People laughing , people talking , young couples, old people , kids with rosy cheeks of excitement , babies sleeping peacefully , people crying . You meet new people everyday and sometimes you lose people...and you don't even realize it until it happens .
Do we take life so much for granted?
We go on living . We go on hurting , causing pain and heart break to those we say are important to us . We run everyday to earn that money we don't really need to be happy . We wake up everyday with a heavy heart and go back to work to the same evil boses , deadlines and projects .
It is really a mad , mad world .
Amidst all this chaos and race there are some thoughts , some people that bring comfort to your life . I think of those cold , winter afternoons in JNU , reading books in the garden and not knowing when I'd fall asleep , eating oranges , bougainvillas , sunflowers , friends , cycling , festivals,theatre...life was so simple and uncomplicated then.
And now I sit here by the window and look outside . I see the moon shining so brightly . It makes me happy . It is such a beautiful sight . I wonder how life would be had I not done this or had I done this at that time in my life....Is there really a destiny ? Or do we make our choices and blame destiny for what we couldn't do ?
I want to fill my life with meaning . I want to feel happy and uncomplicated again. I want peace and healing .
Sometimes you meet these extraordinary people who take you into another world and make you believe that anything is possible . Someone who see you..the real YOU despite all your weaknesses and complications . Someone who makes you believe in miracles , in the power of love...
And then a day comes...when you sit here alone by the window and post this on your blog .
A day when you wonder what is true and what is not ?
A little voice in me tells me to let go...slowly. It whispers to me and says, ' Zaibi...go to sleep . You are not alone .I am always with you. '

What would you think about me when I am gone?
Have you ever thought of that?
If yes , then read on ...
When one dies , why does everyone forget the sins that were committed , the lies that were told , the hearts that were broken?
And if that is what death does ...then why is it such a sad event in our lives?
Why then do we cry and shed tears on something that one strives hard to achieve all their lives and ironically is achieved after death ? Forgiveness...for after all 'to err is human' ,everyone makes mistakes and sometimes somethings cannot be undone . The mistakes , the loss is remembered until death arrives .
Death -Life's ongoing change mechanism -A sign of hope or despair?
In Mexico , I had once heard they celebrate death. They celebrate the lives that were once lived by those who are gone...into the beyond...who have set forth on yet another journey .
A beautiful thought .
